UFC 229 — Lightweight Championship
Conor McGregor +135
Khabib Nurmagomedov -165
30-year-old Conor McGregor (21-3) stands 5’9″ with a 74-inch reach. The native of Ireland has not fought in the Octagon since beating Eddie Alvarez through TKO (punches) at the second round at UFC 205 way back in November of 2016. That win has been preceded by a majority decision win over Nate Diaz in UFC 202 at August of 2016 and that bout was a rematch later Diaz stunned McGregor with a second round rear-naked choke at UFC 196 at March of 2016.
30-year-old Khabib Nurmagomedov (26-0) stands 5’10” with a 70-inch reach. The Russian is unbeaten in his career and comes into this title fight off a unanimous decision win over Al Iaquinta in UFC 223 in April. I will not spill the beans a lot by making a pick , but I shall say, Conor McGregor is in trouble. He’s been out of action for a couple of years and he is fighting arguably the best fighter on Earth. I smell a submission loss coming to the loud-mouthed prior champ. Okay, so I spilled the beans. So what!
The only way we’ll know is on October 6th. In summary, keep in mind open for anything because anything could happen in this mad world of sports. You might just get that winning ticket you’ve been searching for.
